Miley Cyrus Performs At Microsoft Store Grand Opening

November 23, 2010 |  by

Miley Cyrus has had quite the busy week! Not only did she perform at the 2010 American Music Awards on November 21st and begin her birthday celebrations that night, she also performed at a Microsoft store grand opening on November 20th in Bellevue, WA.

2,000 people got to watch the performance, as they were the first people to visit the new store when it opened on Thursday, November 18th.

While this should have been a happy occasion, it is being reported that fans were disappointed. Some of the fans waited in line overnight on the 18th so they could get tickets, and Miley ended up only performing four songs, with her performance only lasting 20 minutes. Miley was reportedly paid $1.2 million for her concert.

Did you see Miley perform?

  1. Miley performed 6 songs:

Can’t Be Tamed, Who Owns My Heart, Robot, Jolene, Driveway, and The Climb. There are video’s of all of the performances on youtube, so I’m not making that up either, I’m positive.

Also, while not everyone that was there may have been aware, members of her band told Miley Cyrus fans on twitter that they were only scheduled to be performing 6 songs PRIOR to the event even starting. So many of us only expected her to perform 6 songs; which is actually more than any other of the FREE concerts that she has done.

In between some of the songs she chatted with her fans. So it actually lasted longer than 20 minutes, but you know how people like to round down when they get upset.

I think the mistake was actually made by Microsoft with them blocking off an hour of time for the performance to occur, and not explaining to fans how long her set was actually going to be. In real life she would have had to sing a good 12-14 or so songs for the performance to be that long so I don’t really know what they were thinking there. If she didn’t have to rush back to LA to get ready for her AMA performance the next day, they probably could have asked her to stay and do a meet and greet afterward or something. Too bad. I hope her real fans know what really happened. People like to make up and exaggerate things in times like these.

Today is her 18th birthday though, which is more important than all of this really I guess!! With that said, HAPPY B-DAY MILEY!!!<3

  2. Yeah I would be mad to if I had waited that long and she only sang 4 songs for 20 mins. What a rip off!
