In a recent interview the group My Chemical Romance talked about how they released their new album “Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys” the same week as Kanye West released his new CD. Here’s what member of the group Gerard Way had to say about their hopes to be on the billboard charts and the possibility of beating out Kanye:
I think it’s almost in the cards for us to be number two. We’ve never been number one. We got our a** kicked by Miley Cyrus last time, back when nobody knew who she was. It was [a disappointment] at the time because I felt like we’d worked towards [being number one] and it felt like it was in the cards. We expected it – like, who can beat us? A lip syncing child, that’s who!

I’m not gonna talk sh*t about either of these true, I’m just gonna state some facts:
Miley Cyrus had a body double performing onstage through a song every show of the tour so she could change from “Hannah” to Miley.
My Chemical Romance didn’t.
Miley Cyrus’s stuff is auto-tuned to he**, and all she does is “sing” into a mic (talks annoyingly).
My Chemical Romance’s front man can sing better.
All in all I would simply like to say that My Chemical Romance is god compared to Miley Cyrus.
I love how most of the comments in favor of My Chem are the only ones with decent grammar, attitude, and punctuation. I’ll ignore the fangirls.
This just goes to show that one of rock’s biggest bands right now doesn’t have the time to check into whether or not Miley Cyrus (who cracks me up) is an actual singer. I’m guessing they take the fact that Cyrus can barely sing/perform and judge the rest based on that. I don’t blame them, personally.
New record is stellar. Certainly deserves the number one spot, as did ‘The Black Parade.’

Jared, you’re totally right about how the MCR fans have better punctuation, grammar, and generally better writing etiquette than any of the Miley fans.
The truth is, MCR are a band of extremely talented, artistic, original, literally LIFE-CHANGING artists. They sing about things that are incredibly hard to- such as their song “Cancer” on their album The Black Parade. They have never lip-sync’d and never will. You know why ? Because they don’t NEED to. They are true music artists who write their own songs, sing their own songs, and can perform their songs very well indeed. Gerard has a fantastic voice and doesn’t need things like “Auto-tune”, unlike Cyrus with her screachy teen voice.
Miley is famous predominately because of her father, and her Aunt. She broke into fame at a young, innocent age for being “Hannah Montanna” and look where that’s got her. Yes, she might be a well-known name now, but no, it’s not for good reasons. When I think of Miley Cyrus, the word sl*g crops to mind. She was a role model to millions of children and pre-teen girls everywhere, and then she got cocky and ignorant and thought “I want to be sexy instead of sweet.” and released songs like “Can’t Be Tamed” and posted half-naked pictures of herself in the shower on the internet. If ANYONE still regards her as a role-model, they need their head checked.
So, all in all. Yes, MCR are bloody incredible in EVERY aspect of music, creativity and art. And Miley is an immature, reckless teenage girl who has everything because she was conceived by someone famous. Wow, she rocks…

3) MCR have originality. Tell me one band who’s like them today.

5)MCR don’t autotune and they play their own instruments.
