Disney star Meaghan Martin volunteered this holiday season at a food bank where she spoke about how important it is to help others during the holidays. She talked about how food is in need around the world all the time, but especially during the holiday season.

Disney Interactive Studios has teamed with LEGO to release “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game.” This news doesn’t come long after Disney announced that production would be stopped on the “Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned” video game. There is no word yet on why the LEGO game is moving forward, while the other video game is not. Perhaps the costs of the two games differs so greatly that Disney would make more money back with this game than with the game originally announced. What do you think?
“Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game” will be available for the following systems:

- PSP

The game will be released at the same time as the new Walt Disney Pictures movie “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” in May 2011.
The new LEGO “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game” will re-create a number of memorable moments from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films with LEGO minifigures and LEGO worlds.
Graham Hopper, the EVP and GM of Disney Interactive Studios, spoke about the video game, saying:
Pirates of the Caribbean is a globally successful franchise based in action, adventure and humor perfectly suited for a LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game adaptation. Combining the excitement of playing as Jack Sparrow and other recognizable characters from the franchise will make the game fun for players of all ages throughout the world.

The National Enquirer is reporting that the reason Taylor Swift is dating Jake Gyllenhaal is that she hopes it makes her ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner jealous. While it’s no secret that Taylor S still has a bit of a crush on Taylor L we can’t see her playing with Jake’s heart to try to get back with him. But here’s what a source told the newspaper:
Taylor is hoping her dates with Jake are making Lautner crazy. She even had her mom Andrea call Taylor and tell him how much better his life would be if he was still dating her daughter! And Andrea wants them together again because she thinks Taylor is the most stable guy for her daughter. He’s the only one of Taylor’s boyfriends she approves of. They’ve been talking and texting, and Taylor’s invited him to join her on vacation when she turns 21 on December 13.

Disney/Pixar has made it clear that they want to win Best Picture at the Oscars for the animated movie “Toy Story 3.” Here’s what the Chairman of Walt Disney Studios, Rich Ross, had to say:
We’re going for the Best Picture win. We wanted to have the best movie and the reviews have clearly said that and it’s the number one box office hit of the year so I’m not sure why we would not go for it all.
Disney/Pixar plans to release a number of ads to promote “Toy Story 3” as Best Picture. The ads will include characters from the movie acting out famous images from previous Oscar winners. We can’t wait to see more of the ads!
