All the sudden it turned from November to December and we automatically pulled out our David Archuleta “Christmas From The Heart” CD to play for the remainder of the month!
David’s amazing holiday album released in 2009 and includes a number of popular holiday songs sung by the ever impressive American Idol star. David even co-wrote a new track for the album, titled “Melodies of Christmas.”

My favorites are Patapan, Silent Night, O Holy Night and What Child Is This
I love this album. It’s the best Christmas album I have.
My favorite tracks are Joy to the World with its gospelly ending, Angels We Have Heard on High (love the arrangement of Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring mixed in), Riu Riu Chiu (I love hearing David sing Spanish) and his Ave Maria in Latin is beautiful.
For anyone who hasn’t heard David’s Christmas album, check it out on MyPlay.com – you can listen to whole tracks. It is gorgeous. The arrangements are inventive and David adds a soulful touch you just have to hear. And he can take your breath away on some of those power notes. You know the songs but you haven’t heard them like this ever.
If forced to choose, then I’d have to say “Pat-A-Pat” and “Riu Riu Chiu” also happen to be my two favorites. Still, there isn’t one song on David Archuleta’s Christmas album that I do not absolutely adore. It’s remarkable how he is able to take traditional songs and infuse them with a fresh new spirit, as well as introduce less familiar ones causing them to become new favorites.
I play David’s Christmas album year round. Not tired of it yet; never will be.
