A new song from Taylor Swift has hit the web called “Brought Up That Way.” There is no word yet on when Taylor recorded the song and if she plans on releasing it in the future.
“Brought Up That Way” sounds different than many of Taylor’s other songs, it’s a lot slower and more country as opposed to having a strong pop influence. We love it! Listen below and be sure to let us know what YOU think of the song and if you hope it releases to radio soon!
Omg she sweared. I never ever thought I’d ever hear this girl swear. Shocker, sounds like Tim McGraw a little bit. Also sounded like it came off her older albums. Otherwise good. I don’t know what moms and kids will think bout the swear part if she releases it. More a personal song than anything.

Songs like this are the reason i’ve become obsessed with this girls music.
Being a hard-core Swift fan for several years, I can tell by her voice this is older, definately not recent. Her voice is less mature than it is now and more strained. Also, in some of her older songs, like this one, she uses the word “damn”. It’s not a swear word, but it’s not considered good. Sort of like “crap”, and “frick”… they’re not swear or cuss words, but they’re not something you’d say around a 3 year old. She doesn’t do that anymore, which is good… she’s realized her audience. Almost all country singers do end up saying “damn”. It’s not part of her normal vocabulary, and she has only used it in 2 or 3 songs… Cold As You, Teardrops On My Guitar [though there's another version and the other is not heard often], and this one. I don’t mind the use of the word in really good songs. Love Taylor.
I love this song! Its beautiful! Def. different from her others but still really meaningful!
Btw this is not the first time she has used da** in a song before so people don’t freak out! lol Her first album has a few songs with da** in it.
