“Toy Story 3″ Nominated For Best Adapted Screenplay At The Oscars

As part of the Oscar Academy Awards, Disney/Pixar’s “Toy Story 3” has been nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay. Here are the movies in the nominationee list:

- “127 Hours” Screenplay by Danny Boyle & Simon Beaufoy
- “The Social Network” Screenplay by Aaron Sorkin
- “Toy Story 3″ Screenplay by Michael Arndt. Story by John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich
- “True Grit” Written for the screen by Joel Coen and Ethan Coen
- “Winter’s Bone” Adapted for the screen by Debra Granik and Anne Rosellini

“Toy Story 3″ director Lee Unrkrich took to Twitter to explain why the movie was nominated in this category, Tweeting:

To answer those who’ve asked: Toy Story 3′s screenplay was nominated as Adapted because it’s a sequel with existing characters.

  1. i think Toy Story 3 should won because the script is very realistic and the Story touched on rejection, Insecurities, desparation and hope. teaching us to be nice because you never know who will come through for you in the future. It got more grown-up drama then The Social Network and Toy Story 2.
