Disney has announced that two of the “Cars 2″ characters will be voiced by actors Eddie Izzard and John Turturro. John’s character is an Italian race car named Francesco Bernoulli while Eddie voices the character Miles Axlerod, a former oil baron who sold off his fortune to convert himself into an electric vehicle and spend the rest of his life trying to find a clean-burning, renewable energy source.

We can’t wait to see both of these new characters in Disney/Pixar’s “Cars 2″ when it rolls into theaters on June 24th!
