ABC Makes A Deal For The Oscar Academy Awards Through 2020
Congratulations are in order for ABC which has struck a deal with the Oscar Academy Awards to air the show on the network through 2020. The previous contract was set to expire in 2014 so ABC gained a few extra years with the new deal. However, international rights to the show, held by the Walt Disney Company (parent company of ABC), are part of a separate deal that has not been renewed past 2014 yet.
No word yet on how much ABC paid for the new deal.
