The Walt Disney Company Acquires Togetherville Social Networking Site For Kids

February 25, 2011 |  by

The Walt Disney Company has acquired Togetherville, a social networking site for kids 10 years old and younger. No word yet on how much Disney paid for the company, but here is a bit more information about how the site works:

Togetherville works like adult social networking sites, but parents are able to monitor the friends their children has as well as the games they are playing on the site. In fact, parents get to moderate the friends their child makes by approving each of them.

Parents can also easily interact with their kids on the site as well as with the parents of their children’s Togetherville friends.

Let us know if you are a parent who uses Togetherville for your child and be sure to tell us what you think of the social networking site!
