Walt Disney World Launching Fastpass To Meet Mickey Mouse

February 25, 2011 |  by  |  1 Comment

One of the things we have noticed changing over the years at the Disney Parks is that the lines to meet our favorite Disney character Mickey Mouse get longer and longer every year. Whether you want a picture or an autograph, or you just want a hug from the Mouse himself, you could be stuck in line for an absurd amount of time. Thankfully though, Disney has realized the problem and has rolled out a new plan to fix it.

There will now be a Fastpass option at the park to meet Mickey Mouse at the Walt Disney World resort. The new program will role out this spring and guests will be able to reserve a one-hour window to come back to the meet-and-greet location to meet the popular star of Disney at the Magic Kingdom without having to wait in line.

The meet-and-greet location will be permanently moved to the Town Square in the Main Street USA area of the park.

Exciting! Which character at the park is your favorite to meet?

“LOST” Star Matthew Fox Talks About Quitting Acting

February 25, 2011 |  by  |  2 Comments

Actor Matthew Fox, from our favorite show “LOST,” went into a bit of a rant about film in his recent interview with Live Magazine. Here’s just some of what he had to say…

About 3D films:

Look at 3D. That’s a major setback to good storytelling. I took my little boy to see The Last Airbender. It was an awful film. The director M. Night Shyamalan hasn’t directed a good movie since The Sixth Sense

About the roles he turns down:

I’m disillusioned with the drift towards gratuitous entertainment, which so much of Hollywood is now. Because of the state of the economy people seem to want pure escapism. But if the roles I fight to get all go to Matt Damon, then I won’t work. I turn a lot of stuff down – big, big movies, the kind I wouldn’t want to go to the cinema to see…Unless they reinvent the wheel in terms of romantic comedies – in other words, they start making them funny and romantic again – I’m not going to be starring in any of these movies. A lot of the time I hate acting. It has a lot to do with the way I was brought up in a world where showing your emotions is frowned upon. It’s just not manly.

Oh, and he might also quit acting:

I know some Hollywood studios see me becoming a leading man on the big budget vehicles, playing the kind of roles that Steve McQueen used to excel at. But I’m not in any hurry. I’d be just as happy sitting back and watching the seasons change. There’s a possibility I’ll give up acting and do something altogether different. Become an astronomer, maybe.

Um no offense, but if he hates acting as much as he says he does then maybe he should get out of the business. Just saying.
