Miley Cyrus Estranged From Billy Ray Cyrus
Star Magazine is reporting in their March 7, 2011 issue, on newsstands now, that Miley Cyrus is more or less estranged from her father Billy Ray Cyrus. The rift between the two began when Billy Ray gave an interview to GQ Magazine in which he said he blamed the Disney Channel Original Series “Hannah Montana” for his daughter’s acting out and for his family being torn apart.
A source revealed to the magazine:
Right now, she [Miley] and Billy Ray are pretty much estranged. Miley can’t believe that the father who she was so close to has turned on her like this.

i used to like her dad, i used to think that he was a good dad, but now i just think he is really stupid for saying that disney channel distroyed his family, disney channel was how miley got famous. how could he say that, let alone in public!
he should have just talked to miley privately not tell the whole world about it. i’m usally on his side, but now, i’m so on Miley’s side. go miley! miley did what she had to do, be famouse by that one show that Billy ray himself made her audition for.
i’m really glad that miley didn’t let him do that interveiw, he’d just babble about her and blame everything on miley and disney channel. this man is so sad that he is taking out his anger on the nearest possible person.
I know people are going to hate what I’m about to say but i think billy ray is right.i miley had not been on disney channel she would probably not be acting out and dressing as provocatively as she had been doing for most of last year. i know she is growing up and is a teenager like everyone else,if you choose to be in the spotlight you should know that your every move will be scrutinized. Miley has probably had more controversies surrounding her than britney spears and she is only 18, that is something to worry about. I think miley just needs to step out of the spotlight for a while and enjoy the rest of her teenager years.

But if you listen to the video that you posted late after this, where she talks about her KCA nominations, or some of her red carpet interviews, her dad just came to visit the family while she was in LA, and she spent valentines day with him…
miley cyrus is actaully nice and very very talented. And for billy cyrus to be so selfish and thoughless and say those things it really does make me think about his personality and how i used to like him.
Billy Ray didn’t want to attend at a birthday party for his underage daughter at a bar. I’m not a prude, but I see his point. And given the gossip mill, he would certainly be blamed for any and all excesses.
I grew up with Billy Ray. I liked his music. I think that if he does not clean his act up that when the time comes he will stand before God for what he is doing and he will not like where he is going to go. And for his daughter she is no better than him. The nasty pictures she is taking and getting even with dad. It is God that will get even. “Revenge is mine say the Lord”. I have seen the Lord punish people in ways that you wish would never would happen. Both of them need to appoligize to each other and get on their knees and ask God to forgive them.
I don’t think that a show can tear your family apart. Simply because they used to say that since they worked on the show together, they were very close! Now he’s saying that it was tearing them apart?
