“Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure” Blu-ray And DVD Movie Review

On April 19, 2011 Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment released “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure” to Blu-ray and DVD. In the movie Ashley Tisdale reprises her role as the “High School Musical” franchise character Sharpay Evans and takes herself and her dog Boi to New York City in order to try to get on Broadway.

When Sharpay gets to the city she meets the character Peyton, played by Austin Butler, who helps her turn a dingy studio apartment into a perfect pink paradise. He also follows Sharpay around with a camera to document her every move since he thinks she is really interesting.

The movie is available on the following formats:

- 2-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray + DVD)
- 1-Disc DVD

Bonus features include:

- Austin Cam (on Blu-ray & DVD) – Actor Austin Butler, who plays student filmmaker Petyon, not only shoots scenes needed for the movie, but takes his camera behind the scenes to see how Ashley Tisdale has fun between takes.

- The Evolution of Sharpay (on Blu-ray only) – Ashley Tisdale traces the development of her bigger-than-life character from the High School Musical movies through her current movie.

We loved seeing Ashley’s HSM character back on TV and all we wish is that Ashley had been joined by all of her former “High School Musical” co-stars! The movie was really fun and the perfect continuation of Sharpay’s story – we could totally see her heading to Broadway to make it big and get her name in lights!

Austin was the perfect co-star for Ashley. He’s funny, sweet and more grounded than the extravagant, fabulous Sharpay will ever be – which helps balance her out!
