Marvel’s “The Avengers” Movie Begins Production
Production has begun on Marvel’s upcoming movie “The Avengers.” The movie is set to release to theaters in the US on May 4, 2012 and stars the following actors:
- Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man
- Chris Hemsworth as Thor
- Chris Evans as Captain America
- Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye
- Mark Ruffalo as Hulk
- Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow
- Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson
- Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury
“The Avengers” is being directed by Joss Whedon and is the first Marvel movie to be fully owned and marketed by the Walt Disney Company.
Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige will be producing while executive producers include Alan Fine, Stan Lee, Louis D’Esposito, Patty Whitcher and Jon Favreau and co-producers Jeremy Latcham and Victoria Alonso.
