Alright, Zac Efron’s “Bet On It” music video from the Disney Channel Original Movie “High School Musical 2″ has been funny from day one, but it’s made even funnier by the fact that Zac is turning himself into a super serious actor, taking on some strong roles in blockbuster movies. We try so hard when we watch this video to keep a straight face, and we do pretty good until the part where Zac looks at his reflection in the water “Lion King”-style. Then we lose it.
The choreography in this video is utterly amazing, and we’re so glad Zac filmed this when he did because we can’t picture him doing any of this anymore. Even if he was offered millions of dollars. On top of that, the music video doesn’t fit in with the rest of the movie at all, it is so obnoxious and over the top and so out of character for Troy Bolton (Zac’s character in the movie).
But don’t get us wrong. This is our all time favorite Disney music video, and it puts a smile on our face every single time we watch it. Check it out:
Here are some photos from Selena Gomez’s We Own The Night concert on July 28th. This was Selena’s first official performance as part of her summer tour alongside Allstar Weekend and Christina Grimmie. The concert took place in Boca Raton, Florida, and even though Selena’s boyfriend Justin Bieber told fans he wouldn’t be in the area he ended up attending Selena’s show wearing a shirt with the album artwork for her new CD on it!

On July 27th Ashley Tisdale and her mom, Lisa Tisdale, were photographed going shopping at the Madison Shoe Store in Beverly Hills, California. Some days Ashley dresses down while she runs errands, and other days (like this one) the Disney star dresses as if she is ready for a photo shoot. Which of Ashley’s styles do you prefer?
Ashley must be getting excited since the premiere of her Disney Channel Original Movie “Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Across The Second Dimension” is coming up! Will you be tuning in for the movie on August 5th on the Disney Channel?
As far as we know Demi Lovato is still signed to Walt Disney owned Hollywood Records, but aside from that she isn’t anywhere within the Disney company anymore. Her Disney Channel Original Series “Sonny With A Chance” changed completely in order to deal with the loss of the star from the show, changing its name to “So Random” and eliminating any plotline that had been built while Demi was involved. In addition, Demi’s new song “Skyscraper” may be getting rave reviews and be playing on a number of radio stations around the country, but Radio Disney isn’t one of them.
While Demi’s ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas’ new song “See No More” has been in the Radio Disney Top 30 Countdown, Demi’s song hasn’t made it there yet – and there’s no way the song isn’t be requested as much, if not more, than Joe’s.
So, does this mean that Demi’s Disney career isn’t salvageable after entering treatment late last year? We imagined Disney had a cut-off point for what they would tolerate from their stars, however we thought that since Demi has come back as a strong role model that Disney would embrace her with open arms – perhaps not as a figure on the Disney Channel, but at least as a musical artist on their radio station. However, it seems that keeping her on as a Hollywood Records artist is where they draw the line…
