Here are two pieces of concept artwork for the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures movie “John Carter.” The movie stars “Friday Night Lights” actor Taylor Kitsch and will arrive on March 9, 2012.

“Civil War vet John Carter is transplanted to Mars, where he discovers a lush, wildly diverse planet whose main inhabitants are 12-foot tall green barbarians. Disney has announced the release dates of three secret movies! The first is a film that Walt Disney Pictures is putting out along with Marvel Entertainment – the movie will hit theaters on May 16, 2014. There is another movie also from Disney and Marvel that will arrive on June 27, 2014. Then, the third movie will show up on May 30, 2014 and is from Disney and Pixar.
We’ll keep you posted when we know more!
Disney is looking to acquire more characters to add to their portfolio. So far Disney has acquired the Marvel Entertainment company and Jim Henson’s Muppet characters, but apparently that just isn’t enough. Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that the Walt Disney Company is looking to purchase either already created characters, or companies that are capable of creating new characters that Disney can use.

Kicking Daisies will perform their song “Keeping Secrets” on the Disney Channel Original Series “So Random” on August 28th at 7:30pm ET/PT. Here is the description of the upcoming episode:

It looks like the security at Joe Jonas‘ concert in Mexico had their work cut out for them! During the show two of Joe’s fans jumped on the stage to give the singer a hug, which Joe didn’t seem to mind too much!
Joe is going on tour in Europe with Britney Spears soon and we’re sure the security at those shows will be even tighter, so we would recommend trying to get on the stage!
