Gore Verbinski And Jerry Bruckheimer Are Trying To Save Disney’s “The Lone Ranger”

September 1, 2011 • By Home

Walt Disney Pictures announced that they were shutting down production on “The Lone Ranger,” which was set to star Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp. However, now the director and producer of the movie, Gore Verbinski and Jerry Bruckheimer, are trying to save the film.

According to reports, both Gore and Jerry are willing to take pay cuts to get the movie back on Disney’s schedule. However, even with the pay cuts, it doesn’t seem like Disney is willing to finance the movie quite yet because they want the movies budget to be even lower. Maybe Johnny or Armie will take a pay cut, but that’s doubtful.

We’ll keep you posted.
