A very happy birthday to mommy-to-be Hilary Duff! The former Disney star was born on September 28, 1987 and turns 24 years old today.
Hilary has been photographed almost every day by the paparazzi since announcing her pregnancy with husband Mike Comrie. Hilary is over the moon about her baby on the way, and she keeps Tweeting updates to her fans about being pregnant. Aww!
We hope Hilary has the best birthday ever!

20. “Jake And The Never Land Pirates: Yo Ho, Mateys Away!” DVD Arrives September 27, 2011
Disney Junior’s animated TV show “Jake And The Never Land Pirates” has arrived on DVD today, September 27th. The show is cable’s #1 series among Boys 2-5 and is on its way to being Disney Channel’s #1 preschool series ever – and it’s no surprise why! The show is great for little kids, but it’s great for grownups too! It’s easy to follow along with and it asks viewers to help solve problems and be a part of the show by interacting with the characters along with way.
The show revolves around a crew of kid pirates, Jake, Izzy and Cubby. They all go on adventures in Never Land where they meet up with Captain Hook, Smee and other fun characters!
“Jake And The Never Land Pirates” seemed to us to be filmed like a video game. With the characters being awarded with coins whenever they solved a problem and the quick scene changes. The episodes go by quickly and are very entertaining, which is great for young viewers who may not have a long attention span.
When you pick up the DVD you can watch 7 episodes of “Jake And The Never Land Pirates” as well as watch the bonus features, which include:
- Yo Ho, You Want To Be A Pirate? – Jake teaches viewers how to talk like a pirate.
- Pirate Party With Pirate-oke – A collection of music videos performed by The Never Land Pirate Band that allow viewers to enjoy with or without the sing-along/karaoke-like feature.
The DVD also comes with a 7-track CD sample so you can get a preview of the “Jake And The Never Land Pirates” soundtrack, which is sold separately, AND you’ll also get a pirate eye patch – fun!
Let us know if you pick up “Jake And The Never Land Pirates: Yo Ho, Mateys Away!” on DVD and tell us what you think!
