“The Hunger Games” Nail Polish Line Has Been Canceled

December 1, 2011 |  by

Just three weeks after American International Industries and Lionsgate Films signed a deal to collaborate on a nail polish line based on the upcoming book turned movie “The Hunger Games,” Lionsgate pulled out on the deal. Now, the movie studio is being sued by the nail polish company for 10 million dollars – yikes.

Reportedly, Lionsgate decided not to go forward with the line after the details about the collection leaked. Perhaps Lionsgate believes American International Industries to be behind the leak? Either way, we’re bummed about this! Here are the “colors” that were supposed to be part of the line:

Primrose – for the character Prim
Rebel – for the character Gale
Catnip – for the character Katniss
Coal Hearted – for District 12
Joined at the Seam – for The Seam
Fight to the Finish – for the night sky the tributes watch
We Could Runaway – for the forest that Katniss and Gale meet in
Baker’s Son – for the character Peeta
Cinna-mon – for the character Cinna
Fire in Flight – for the Flaming Mockingjay
Heat of the Moment – for the costumes Katniss and Peeta wear into the Arena the first time
Flaming Games Overlay – for Katniss’ flaming interview dress

Do you wish this nail polish line would still come to fruition?
