The Disney Channel ran an episode of “Shake It Up” complete with an eating disorder joke recently. Demi Lovato caught wind of the episode and the script and she flipped. We don’t blame her!
Demi has been dealing with an eating disorder for years, and she couldn’t believe that the Disney Channel had allowed this “joke” to hit the channel. Demi commented via Twitter and the Disney Channel ended up hearing Demi’s complaint and pulling the episode to reevaluate it.

OMG its kinda stupid how this episode has been on for about a year and people are only make a big deal out of now because Demi Tweeted about it. People have been attacking Davis with lots of hate tweets about the joke. Its not his fault
I even got bullied by one of Demi’s fans about the joke and the fact I was defending Davis. People are making a big deal only because a CELEB has a prob with thus episode. Demi is making a big deal out of NOTHING!
Lauren, it’s not because of a celeberty! Demi is actually standing up for people who have an eating disorder! I Agree with Demi! I’m sorry that u don’t understand how people may have felt bad, while watching it!
It’s not like Demi’s “making a big deal out of nothing”.
It’s simply because she was affected and if you had a eating disorder just like her,you might feel the same way. And about her having that tweet, I don’t think there’s something wrong w/ it. It’s her twitter account, I guess she could tweet anything she likes. It’s her own way of expressing herself. And what if other people who had the same problem (eating disorder) watched the episode? They’ll be affected as well.
She’s tweeting about it not as a celeb but as a person having that same prob.
