“For generations, Welton Academy students have been groomed to live lives of conformity and tradition – until new professor John Keating inspires them to think for themselves, live life to the fullest and ‘Carpe Diem.’ This unconventional approach awakens the spirits of the students, but draws the wrath of a disapproving faculty when an unexpected tragedy strikes the school. With unforgettable characters and beautiful cinematography, Dead Poets Society will captivate and inspire you time and time again.”

Whenever we hear Robin Williams’ name we think of comedy, however this movie wasn’t much of a comedy after all. Instead, we were pleasantly surprised when the movie turned out to be much more inspirational than many of Robin’s films and taught a message about being a free thinker and living life to the fullest. We appreciated the bits of humor that Robin brought to the movie, but we also appreciated the seriousness of the film. The movie originally arrived in 1989, so it was interesting to see actors Ethan Hawke (“Before Sunset,” “Training Day,” “Gattaca”) and Robert Sean Leonard (“House”) as young men.
We highly recommend this movie for any Robin Williams’ fan who is willing to explore another genre of movie with the famous comedian! Don’t forget to enter our contest to win a copy of “Dead Poets Society” on Blu-ray!
