Miley Cyrus Had To Break Free Of People’s Expectations To Find Out Who She Was
During an interview on “The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet” Miley Cyrus revealed that she had to break free of what people’s expectations where of her to be able to find out who she really was. Here’s a quote from Miley’s interview:
I feel I was so trained in my interviews to be All-American or whatever. I just got so set in the way of saying the same things I did when I was 12 years old… I guess I kind of realized that my whole life isn’t one giant press junket. I don’t have to be smiling all the time and always have the perfect answer. Because I had to smile so much and I had to say so much of the same thing, I finally had to look inside and say, ‘What do I really think about this? Do I really feel that or am I just trained to say that? Or have I said it for so many years now that that’s what people expect me to say, so now I say it so I don’t have to say something else and be creative?
What are your thoughts on this?

Hi NBT,
My name is Kimi, and I’m 12 years old. Being apart of NBT would make my dreams come true! All of my friends say I have an amazing voice, and I wanted to see if I’m as amazing as they say I am! I’ve been singing my entire life, and there isn’t one day that went by with me not singing. Ever since I was a little girl I’ve wanted to be a singer or dancer but my dancing isn’t the best and I’ve had so many compliments on my voice. I know looks isn’t everything, and I may not be the most gorgeous person on this planet, but I do know I may be capable of making NBT. I’ve been watching Disney Channel my whole life, and I still watch it til this day. It would an honor to be on NBT. Thank you so much!
