David Archuleta Shares Details About Speaking In Spanish During His Mission
David Archuleta is in South America for two years on a Mormon Mission, and while he’s there he’s speaking a lot of Spanish. So much so that it’s odd for him to talk in English now! David’s manager shared the following details:
From David: My mouth feels funny and brain tingles whenever I speak in English. I still speak English WAY better than I do Spanish (KS)

This tweet is so typical of @davidarchie tweets! He is so funny! (Nothing beats his most famous tweet of “Hush cats” when a couple cats were outside his house one night. So glad he is able to tweet to his fans every week through his road manager @kariontour! It is also interesting to me that his twitter followers continue to increase by 1500-3000/day even though he is in South America. (up to 1,094,095). I am looking forward to the new music he promised his fans in August.
David’s on his 2-year Mormon church mission in South America and other than special circumstances he has only been allowed to speak Spanish (the language of his mission) since the day he entered the mission training center, March 28 2012. He was lucky he already knew some Spanish, but since he did, he only got the minimum 3 weeks of training and is in South America now. I love and miss him. I’m very grateful he left us so much nice stuff – with Nandito Ako, the Forevermore album and the upcoming BEGIN. album (Aug 2012). Waiting for DA2014
