One Direction’s Liam Payne Launches His Own YouTube Channel
One Direction’s Liam Payne has launched his own YouTube channel! Insiders spoke to the Examiner about the reason why Liam decided to launch the channel, revealing:
Out of everybody in One Direction, Liam is the one who wants to be taken the most seriously as a musician and songwriter, and he eventually wants to be a producer. No one can predict how long One Direction will be together, but Liam is already planning ahead to not be pigeonholed as just another member of a boy band. He has no plans to quit One Direction, and it’s too early for him to do a solo album. But he wants recognition as a songwriter and producer who’s talented enough to be hired by other artists. There’s no reason why he can’t be in One Direction and work with other artists too.

One Direction shares songwriting credits as a group. The fans don’t really know which ones in the group made the most contributions to the songs. Liam thinks the YouTube channel will give people a chance to see his talent as an individual. He admires what Gary Barlow and Tom Fletcher have done with their careers. He wants to do the same thing: be in a successful band but also make music outside of the group.
