Cate Blanchett Is In Talks For Disney’s Live-Action “Cinderella” Movie

Actress Cate Blanchett is in talks for Disney’s live-action “Cinderella” movie. Cate will play the evil stepmother in the movie, which has been in the planning process since 2010.

Amanda Seyfried was originally wanted for the role of Cinderella, but no word yet if she is in talks for the film, or if the role will go to another actress. We’ll keep you posted.

   I’m so excited to see Cate as Cinderella! I’m really hoping they’ll cast Saoirse Ronan as Cinderella. She and Cate were spectacular in Hanna.
