Did Selena Gomez Lie About Filming A New Music Video For Publicity?
Selena Gomez has a new album on the way, and her first single off of the CD is scheduled to release in April. So, it wouldn’t be surprising if Selena shot a music video for the single soon.
It was believed that Selena had already filmed the music video, as she was spotted in a number of outfit changes in Palmdale, California this month. Also, a bunch of photo agencies had photographers there, and they all shared the pictures along with a description about Selena being on the set of a new music video.
But, as Selena told MTV it was NOT a music video shoot:
That actually wasn’t for my music video! They’re just from a photo shoot I did. The pictures were everywhere and my friends were texting me, like, ‘What’s going on?!’ That is exactly why I tell people not to believe what they read on the Internet.
Here’s our question…if all of these photographers were at the event, and close enough to take some great pictures, how did they not know it wasn’t a music video shoot. It’s not possible.
Plus, if Selena was doing a photo shoot for a big magazine or for her album, would her management really let the paparazzi that close? Wouldn’t they want to keep the pictures as private as possible so fans would be surprised when the professional photos arrived?
We feel like this is a classic case of leaking a false story to get fans exciting for something – like Selena’s album, and possible music video. It sure had the web buzzing for days and got fans talking about Selena’s new CD. Just saying.
