Taylor Swift’s Fan Mail Gets Thrown Out
Yikes! While many celebrities collect their fan mail and read it each month, Taylor Swift has so much mail coming in that it ends up recycled – well most of the time. A Nashville resident was disposing of garbage at a dumpster behind an elementary school and she found hundred of letters addressed to Taylor!
The woman took the letters and contacted ABC News 2 to help her get in touch with Taylor and tell her that the letters were in her possession. The news station tracked the P.O. Box to a strip mall where Taylor’s team occasionally picks up her mail.
The letters are then taken to Taylor’s management office where they are read and recycled. Taylor’s rep spoke about why the letters might have ended up at the elementary school, stating:
The only explanation for any letters being unopened would be that a small batch of mail that was supposed to be delivered to Taylor was accidentally put with letters headed for the recycling center. We sincerely appreciate Channel 2 bringing this to our attention, and we plan to immediately pick up the mail.
