Disney Plans Non-Musical “Pete’s Dragon” Remake Movie

Walt Disney Pictures is working on a remake of the 1977 live action/animation movie “Pete’s Dragon.” The remake will reportedly NOT be a musical, but will follow the same tale of an orphan boy named Pete who has an imaginary dragon friend named Elliot.

Disney has hired David Lowery and Toby Halbrooks to write the screenplay.
