Disneyland Toontown Dry Ice Explosion

There was an explosion at Disneyland’s Toontown on May 28, 2013. The explosion was caused by dry ice placed in a plastic bottle.

The Toontown area of the park was closed for two hours, after which Disneyland made the following announcement via Twitter:

This afternoon, a small bang was heard in a trash can at Mickey’s Toontown. In an abundance of caution, the area was evacuated. There were no injured and no reported damage.

Police are currently investigating the incident and reviewing surveillance footage to find out how the dry ice got there. We’ll keep you posted.
