Andrew Garfield Oscars Batkid

“The Amazing Spider-Man” Actor Andrew Garfield refused to present at the Oscars when he found out he would be presenting with 5-year-old Miles Scott, who has cancer and is known to the world as “Batkid” after his Make-A-Wish wish was granted and he got to save Gotham city alongside Batman.

Andrew reportedly didn’t like the lines he was supposed to say during the Oscars, and he backed out at the last minute. A source told The New York Post’s Page Six:

The Academy was going to make [Miles] an official superhero during the Oscar ceremony. Andrew Garfield was going to appoint him ‘Batkid,’ but, in the middle of the dress rehearsal, Garfield decided he didn’t like his lines. [He] refused to go by the script. Garfield had a tantrum. He stormed off. [Miles and his family] were devastated.

Producers reportedly had to pay for Miles to go to Disneyland instead to make up for what happened, and Chris Evans presented in Andrew’s place. Yikes!
