Alexa Vega The Tomorrow People

Alexa PenaVega is working on “The Tomorrow People,” and she just shared a photo of her character along with posting:

I would like to apologize to my amazing Husband @TheCarlosPena ahead of time. #TheTomorrowPeople’s rebellious HILLARY COLE! Mondays 9pm

Alexa received a lot of negative comments about her new character, and she shared a note reacting to those comments. Read what Alexa had to say:

“To the amazing people who have supported me along the way…
I am so appreciative of all the love and encouragement you have given me. My roles and films have gone in all different directions and you continue to support me through all of them!
If you follow my tweets pretty regularly… then you know how much I love God. And if you are one
who receives alerts when I tweet… Then I am realllllly sorry when I get inspired and can’t stop retweeting scripture or uplifting quotes. :)
I have had a lot of mixed comments today about the photo I posted… and because it was heavy on my heart… I really wanted to address it.
Working on The Tomorrow People has been one of the most fun and fulfilling experiences I have ever had on a job. The character I play is so strong and so committed to pushing herself and being the best. She is a pain in the butt and a little snot sometimes… but that’s why I love her.
After posting the first ‘character’ photo of Hillary today I read all sorts of comments…A lot people loved it and were very supportive… Some were bullies… But the ones that stuck out to me were the comments about my faith. I have always wanted to set a good example and be uplifting for people. That’s what I love most about my job… It is a way to REACH people. Touch peoples lives. Inspire. If you are in the position to be able to do something great BE GREAT! None of us are perfect and the most amazing part about all of it is We Don’t Have To Be. I have faith because I need it. I am not a whole complete person without it. I have to work on myself everyday. Through my walk I hope that I can share with you things that inspire me and keep me going. I won’t always make the right decisions… I won’t always say the right things… But if you can be inspired or uplifted by anything God has put on my heart nothing would be more fulfilling.

Luke 11:9
Knock, and the door will be opened.”
