Director Guillermo Del Toro Drops Out Of Emma Watson’s “Beauty And The Beast” Movie

Direction Guillermo del Toro was set to direct a live-action “Beauty And The Beast” movie starring Emma Watson, however he has dropped out of the directors chair for the film. Guillermo still has plans to help produce the film, and a new director has not been named.

This news comes in the wake of Disney announcing a live-action “Beauty And The Beast” movie being directed by Bill Condon. Rumor has it Vanessa Hudgens or Kristen Stewart could play the role of Belle in the film, but no official announcement has been made about the role.

It is being reported that Guillermo had a scheduling conflict with the “Beauty And The Beast” movie, which means it must have finally received a production start date. The movie has been on the table since 2012, but a date for shooting to start was never announced.
