Nickelodeon Confirms “Sam & Cat” Cancellation
Nickelodeon has confirmed that the hit TV show “Sam & Cat” has been cancelled. The second to last episode of the show aired over the weekend, and fans were shocked when the promo for the episode stated that the series was coming to an end.
Here is Nickelodeon’s statement about the “Sam & Cat” cancellation:
Nickelodeon will not be producing more episodes of Sam & Cat. We are very proud of the show and its very talented cast and we wish them all the best.
The show brought “iCarly” star Jennette McCurdy together with “Victorious” star Ariana Grande. The actresses both reprised their roles from their hit shows and fans went wild for “Sam & Cat.” So much so that an additional handful of episodes were ordered halfway through season one.
However, Jennette got upset with both Nickelodeon and with her co-star and things went sour. Both ladies had no desire to further work on the series and Nickelodeon put the show on a hiatus. While there were an additional 8 episodes left to be filmed Nickelodeon has decided not to move forward with them.
Are you sad to see “Sam & Cat” come to a close?
