Epcot Disney Monorail Lighting

Yikes! A Walt Disney World monorail car was evacuated on Sunday after passengers believed the car was struck by lighting. The strike happened by the Epcot park and completely stopped the train.

Emergency corespondents were called, and monorail riders had to be evacuated through the hatch door in the roof as the car could not drive to the monorail station.

One Twitter user sent out the following note from inside the monorail that night:

Literally stuck on a monorail at Disney, lighting struck and we immediately stopped. I’m convinced that I’m going to die.

So scary! Disney plans to release a statement about what happened soon.
