Back in 2011 Joe Jonas took a break from working with his brothers as the Jonas Brothers to work on his solo album. Joe’s CD was titled “Fastlife,” and it was full of what Joe described as “mature” songs.
Joe was asked during an interview about the album if he thought his music and fans compared to Justin Bieber’s music and fans. Here’s his response:
I don’t even think there’s much comparison with Bieber, because there’s totally a big age difference — there’s a similar fanbase, but a lot of his fans are a little bit younger. [My] songs are a bit more mature. The things that I speak about … I really hope 11-year-olds aren’t relating to them, or their parents are going to have to talk. I’m 21, so [I sing about] things a 21-year-old would deal with. And if an 11-year-old or whatever wants to listen to my music, that’s great, I’m more than happy. I just feel the core audience is going to be a little older.
Joe is working on a brand new solo album right now! He just decided what type of sound he wanted on the CD, so fans expect the album to arrive very early on in 2015. Are you excited for Joe’s upcoming solo CD?
