ABC has just announced that Barry Corbin will be playing Eric Stonestreet’s father in an upcoming episode of “Modern Family.” Barry will play the character Merle Tucker, father of Cam Tucker, and his character is going to be very masculine.

A new drama from Shonda Rhimes (“Grey’s Anatomy”) is on the way to ABC. Originally the show was called “Damage Control,” but it has recently been renamed “Scandal.” Here’s a description of the show from IMDB:
“When you get into trouble there’s only one person to call, Olivia Pope. Olivia is a professional ‘fixer’ who makes problems go away before anyone even knows they exist. For the moneyed, the powerful and even the President, Olivia is a legend in her field. Her spectacular success is mostly due to her unbreakable rule of always trust your gut. Vanessa Hudgens appeared on ABC’s “Live With Kelly” on February 8, 2012. During her time on the show she spoke with host Kelly Ripa about her new film “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.” V’s new movie will hit theaters on February 10, 2012 and also stars “The Hunger Games” actor Josh Hutcherson.
Josh and Vanessa previously dated, so you don’t see them doing much press together, at least in the US. The duo did do press in Australia and Hawaii together, but things got a bit awkward during one of the interviews when the show’s host asked about the two still being an item – uh oh!

Melissa McCarthy’s husband Ben Falcone, who played opposite her in “Bridesmaids,” will guest star in an upcoming episode of ABC’s “Happy Endings.” In the episode Ben will play the landlord of Darren, Max and Dave, and according to reports he won’t be too happy with the three guys!
We don’t know the exact date that Ben’s episode will air, but we do know it will be in either March or April.
