Disney Junior Goldie And Bear

A brand new animated series will air on Disney Junior in Fall 2015. The series is titled “Goldie & Bear.”

Here’s a description of the show:

Set in the Fairytale Forest, the series follows the adventures of plucky Goldie and her best friend, Bear, as they encounter well-known characters from fairytales and nursery rhymes, including Little Red Riding Hood, Humpty Dumpty and The Three Little Pigs.

This sounds a little similar to “Super Why!,” and therefore we are BEYOND excited!

Here’s the voice cast:

Natalie Lander (“The Middle”) stars as Goldie
Georgie Kidder (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars”) as Bear
Lesley Nicol (“Downton Abbey”) as Fairy Godmother
Debby Ryan (“Jessie”) as Thumbelina
Miles Brown and Marsai Martin (“black-ish”) appear as Jack & Jill.

We totally thought that Debby was leaving the Disney company as the fourth and final season of the Disney Channel Original Series “Jessie” just wrapped filming – so we are SO happy to find out that she is staying on with the network for “Goldie & Bear.”

Do you plan on tuning in when the series arrives?

Elena Of Avalor

Disney Junior has a new Princess on the way! Her name is Elena of Avalor, and she will arrive on the network in 2016. However, Elena will make her Disney Junior debut before then in an upcoming episode of “Sofia the First.”

Aimee Carrero, from ABC Family’s “Young & Hungry,” is set to voice Elena, a “16-year-old Princess [who is] the bold, caring, funny and clever ascendant to the throne in the fairytale kingdom of Avalor.”

Here’s a description of the series:

Princess Elena’s journey began long ago when her parents and kingdom were taken from her by the evil sorceress, Shuriki. Elena bravely faced the sorceress to protect her little sister, Princess Isabel, and grandparents but in the process, her magical amulet pulled her inside its enchanted jewel, saving her life but imprisoning her at the same time. Decades later, Princess Sofia of Enchancia discovers the truth about the amulet she has worn since joining her royal family and sets out to restore Elena to her human form and help her return to the kingdom of Avalor.
