The soft opening for the Pirates Of The Caribbean attraction at Disneyland was March 16, 2012 and the official opening date was March 18, 2012. Below is a video released by the Disney Parks to commemorate the rides’ 45th anniversary! Here’s what was shared along with the video:
“Check out this video with scenes from Pirates of the Caribbean attractions at four Disney theme parks around the globe, plus some fun facts about the attraction at Disneyland park, Tokyo Disneyland, Magic Kingdom Park and Disneyland Paris (which was the last to open, on April 12, 1992).”
This is definitely one of our favorite Disney rides! What about you?
If you go to the Disney Parks you can get a FASTPASS, which is a card stamped with a specific time for you to return to one of the busier rides and get on without a long wait. According to numerous reports the parks will be putting more emphasis on guests returning at the specified time, as opposed to current situation in which many cast members will allow guests to enter the FASTPASS line even if their FASTPASS time has gone by already.
The reason for this new rule enforcement is suspected to be because Disney is putting a new reservation system in place in which resort guests can reserve ride times before they even step foot inside the park. With so many more guests reserving ride times it’s going to become more difficult for Disney to ensure that the FASTPASS system still works as intended.
We’ll keep you posted!
