The Disney Channel has yet to pick up the “Boy Meets World” spin-off show “Girl Meets World.” Actress Rowan Blanchard sent the following note to her fans via Twitter:
#girlmeetsworld has NOT been officially picked up yet. #Disney and the #gmw cast will tell you.
We hope that the Disney Channel does decide to pick up the show! Do YOU? We’ll keep you posted!

The Disney Channel had put a lot of emphasis on the pilot show “Girl Meets World,” but now it seems like it has stopped promoting the show. We’ve been waiting for a while now on confirmation that there would be a full first season of the “Boy Meets World” spin-off series, and it seems like the cast and crew are wondering now too.
Teo Halm, who was cast as Cory and Topanga’s son on the show, even took to Twitter with a message for the Disney Channel and his fans:
@DisneyChannelPR #pickupgirlmeetsworld
Do you think the Disney Channel is waiting too long to pick up the show and that it has changed the direction it wants to go in with its upcoming programming? Or, do you think the show will get picked up for sure and Teo and the rest of the cast just need to wait a bit longer to hear from the network?
We’ll keep you posted!
Disney might not have ordered a full first season of the “Boy Meets World” spin-off “Girl Meets World” yet, but they have started adding new actors to the cast! Jackee Harry, from “Sister Sister,” has just signed on for the spin-off series.
No word yet on the character that Jackee will play, but we’ll keep you posted.
So far the “Girl Meets World” cast has filmed the pilot episode. Hopefully Disney will be announcing a season 1 order soon. We’ll keep you posted!
P.S. Who else would you like to see added to the cast?
