The guys from Honor Society have just announced a new tour for this year! The tour is titled Serendipity: The Tour! Here’s a note from the guys:
“To my dearest Rihanna.. wait, my bad, totally wrong letter, lemme start over.
Dear Mila….. ok, again, my bad…
*clears throat* Helloooo! (ok, got it right) it’s Michael! First I wanted to say Happy New Year! Is it just me or does ’2013′ sound incredibly futuristic? ….Just me? oh.
I don’t believe in resolutions, but I did make a promise to myself on New Years Eve that in 2013 I wanted to keep my happiness in focus. But first I had to define what makes me happy. This band makes me happy.
More specifically, being on stage makes me happy. It’s the purest, most in-the moment expression of myself (the other HS guys as well) and our art. A controlled chaos really. We labor over every detail but we always makes sure to leave room for spontaneity. Those parts of a show that could never have been planned for, the parts that push our musicality and will to entertain.
So, in my first step towards 2013 happiness, I’d like to personally announce that this March we are hitting the road for SERENDIPITY: The Tour. It’s in support of our Serendipity EP, but it’s so much more than that. It will be HS like you’ve never seen before.
I’d love to see as many of you there as possible, especially those of you that haven’t been to a show in a while.
I’ve done my best to never steer you wrong and trust me, this is not one to sleep on. Tickets for the first leg of the tour (more dates will be added) go on sale Friday Jan 11. Get your tickets asap and bring friends. The better these shows sell, the more expansive the second leg will be. So spread the word! Spring will be in the air and I guarantee we will kick it off right. For those who want to get the party started early each ticket link (available on our website) will have a VIP option, letting us all get together before the show for a hang-out, Q&A, first crack at merchandise, picture, and a signed item!
This letter comes timely as an artist we have tremendous respect for just released a similar statement regarding his new album. To paraphrase Justin Timberlake, we (as the artist) have to live with it (the art), and when we’re happy with it, we get to share it. That is this tour.
Real talk, most people agree that 2012 was just kinda..weird. 2013 is about being happy.
