You’ll be able to meet the Marvel character Thor at the Disneyland Resort starting on November 1, 2013. According to the Disney Parks Blog the backstory for the meet and greet is that “Thor” character Jane Foster has learned that a cosmic bridge that allows Thor to travel between the Nine Realms will be opening up on November 1, 2013.
You’ll be able to see some of Jane’s research inside Innoventions, and then you’ll be able to enter a chamber where Thor will transport from Asgard straight to YOU!
Exciting! We can’t wait to meet Thor at the park!
According to a federal judge the Walt Disney Company owns the rights to all of the Marvel characters created by Stan Lee. Stan Lee Media had filed a multi-billion dollar lawsuit claiming that Stan Lee Media deserved to be paid a portion of the profits from Disney/Marvel’s superhero movies and merchandise.
Stan Lee no longer has anything to do with Stan Lee Media, but the company claims that he signed over the rights to a number of his comic characters when he left the company.
Then, Stan signed a deal with Disney in which he handed over the same characters.
The judge ruled that Disney/Marvel did not have to pay any money to Stan Lee Media.
