DjangoCon is an annual convention for people who code in Django. The computer language powers such websites as Instagram, Pinterest and other apps.
The conference was to be held on June 2nd through June 6th. But once One Direction announced that they would have shows in Cardiff on June 5th and 6th, then the trouble began!
It meant that there would be an extra 140,000 people in a 340,000 city over those two nights for the show. Unfortunately for the conference goers, all the hotels that they thought they would be staying in are now fully booked.
“We’ll probably find this funny, when we look back on it, but at the moment we’re not enjoying the situation,” said the conference organizers.
They went on to say that the conference had to be cancelled, but anyone who has already registered will be able to receive a full refund if the new dates of the conference are unsuitable for them.
That is too bad that the city wasn’t big enough to house all of the conference goers as well as all of the One Direction fans.
