The Pixar short film “Lava” will arrive in theaters on June 19, 2015 ahead of the Disney Pixar movie “Inside Out.” It will also premiere at the Hiroshima International Animation Festival in Japan.
Below is the first photo to arrive of the main character, a volcano named Uku. “Lava” tells the story of Uku looking for love in the waters surrounding Hawaii.
Director James Murphy was inspired to create the short after honeymooning in Hawaii years ago. In fact, he even wrote the song that was the basis for the story of “Lava.” The song was performed for the short film by Hawaiian recording artists Kuana Torres Kahele and Napua Greig.
Someone has come up with a great idea for a Disney Pixar “Toy Story” final short. In the short Woody would say goodbye to Andy, his favorite owner.
The idea will totally make you start crying, so make sure you have tissues ready before you start reading below. Plus, take the poll underneath to let us know if you think the short should be made!
