As of February 14th Playhouse Disney on the Disney Channel has officially become Disney Junior. The new programming block has a number of new, exciting shows for younger viewers, as well as some favorites that aired previously on Playhouse Disney.

On January 17, 2010 two new “Handy Manny” episodes will air during the Playhouse Disney programming block on the Disney Channel. The first episode is titled “Good Fences.” In the episode Manny and the tools help neighbors Renaldo and Mr Kumar work together to build a fence that works great for both of them. “Good Fences” was written by Gary Toubes.
The second episode is titled “Butterflies.” In the episode Manny and the tools find a way to keep the butterflies inside the Sheet Rock Hills Butterfly Conservatory in time for its grand opening. “Butterflies” was written by Kevin Monk.
The episodes will air from 8:30-9am ET/PT. will you be watching?

Two new episodes of “Special Agent Oso” will air during the Playhouse Disney programming block on the Disney Channel on January 24, 2011 from 10-10:30am EST/PST.
The first episode is titled “Quantum of Sauce.” In the episode Special Agent Oso and Taylor learn how to twirl spaghetti without spilling sauce on their clothes – sounds helpful to us! The episode was written by John Loy.
The second episode is titled “The Girl with the Folded Clothes.” In this episode Special Agent Oso teaches Lydia how to fold her clean laundry. This episode was written by Krista Tucker.
These both sound like very helpful episodes for your child to watch! The episodes were directed by Jamie Mitchell.

Two new episodes of “Special Agent Oso” are set to air during the Playhouse Disney programming block on the Disney Channel on January 7, 2011 from 10-10:30am ET/PT. The first new episode is titled “Dr. Throw” and guest stars legendary Notre Dame football coach and ESPN sportscaster Lou Holtz as the voice of Uncle Lou.
In the episode Special Agent Oso, voiced by Sean Astin, teaches Rudy how to throw a football just in time for Uncle Lou’s visit. Krista Tucker wrote the episode.
The second episode is titled “Nobody Plays ‘It’ Better.” In the episode Special Agent Oso teaches Alexander and Elena how to play tag. The episode was written by John Loy, based on a story by Don Gillies. Jamie Mitchell directed the episodes.

A brand new episode of “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” is airing during the Playhouse Disney programming block on January 3, 2011 from 9-9:30am ET/PT on the Disney Channel. In the episode the wind blows away Minnie Mouse’s daily calendar and Mickey Mouse and his friends have to help her put the calendar back together, to keep all of her plans up to date!
