Disney star Sterling Knight from the Disney Channel Original Series “So Random,” formerly known as “Sonny With A Chance,” took to Twitter recently to comment on internet sensation Rebecca Black who gained a lot of recognition after her song “Friday” hit YouTube. A very happy birthday to Disney’s Sterling Knight who turns 22 years old today. Sterling was born on March 5, 1989.
Sterling stars as the character Chad in the Disney Channel Original Series “Sonny With A Chance,” and also has a movie coming out this year called “Transit.”
We hope Sterling has an amazing, relaxing birthday weekend spent with his family and friends. If you could give the star anything for his birthday, what would it be?
A new episode of “Sonny With A Chance” will air on the Disney Channel on January 9, 2011 from 8-8:30pm titled “New Girl.” In the episode Sonny writes a song to sing at open mic night after breaking up with Chad. However, when her new neighbor asks her to be more quiet as she practices, Chad steps in and bets the neighbor that everyone will love Sonny’s song. Although, Chad doesn’t know the song is about him!
The “New Girl” episode was written by Michael Feldman and Steve Marmel. Sean McNamara directed the episode.

Demi Lovato’s “Sonny With A Chance” co-star Sterling Knight recently spoke about Demi being in rehab, saying that she was in good spirits and doing well. Here’s what Sterling had to say about his fellow Disney star:
She’s doing well. She’s in good spirits. I didn’t want to bother her too much because I want her to get her rest. I know she’s been overworked for a long time. I’m hoping she stays strong and gets through it.
Sterling also said he’s glad Demi decided to get help now rather than wait:
You’d rather nip it in the bud sooner than later. I know she’s been real busy—almost entirely too busy for any human being, let along a 17-year-old girl. It’s nice that she’s handling her stuff.
We’re glad Demi has so much support right now.
