So far for all of 2014, Taylor Swift has the two best album-sales weeks!
Her album “1989” sold 1.287 million copies in its first week and sold 402,000 copies in its second week, keeping the No. 1 spot on the Billboard albums chart for both weeks.
A lot of country acts saw a huge percentage increase in album sales this week after they performed on last week’s Country Music Association Awards Show.
Miranda Lambert’s “Platinum” more than tripled after she won album-of-the-year. Her husband, Blake Shelton’s album “Bringing Back the Sunshine” had a 135% increase in sales from the week before, selling almost 21,000 copies.
26 songs by artists who performed or appeared on the Country Music Association Awards Show had download numbers more than double afterwards.
We are thrilled that Taylor’s album is doing so well, but we wonder if the new pop princess Taylor had performed at the CMAs she might have had even bigger sales? What do you think, would you liked to have seen Taylor at the CMAs?
