Vanessa Hudgens appeared on ABC’s “Live With Kelly” on February 8, 2012. During her time on the show she spoke with host Kelly Ripa about her new film “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.” V’s new movie will hit theaters on February 10, 2012 and also stars “The Hunger Games” actor Josh Hutcherson.

Josh and Vanessa previously dated, so you don’t see them doing much press together, at least in the US. The duo did do press in Australia and Hawaii together, but things got a bit awkward during one of the interviews when the show’s host asked about the two still being an item – uh oh!

In fact, Vanessa says filming for the role she actually lost herself, and it’s taken a while to regain her self confidence. Vanessa revealed about the role:
