Disney’s High School Musical 3: Senior Year has a chance at winning Best Picture at the MTV Movie Awards on May 31st. The movie is up against the popular movies Twilight, The Dark Knight, and Slumdog Millionaire.

High School Musical star Zac Efron is up against some other hotties for Best Male Performance, competing against Shia LaBeouf, Robert Downey Jr., Christian Bale and Vin Diesel.

And Zac Efron’s co-stars are getting some great nominations as well! Looks like there’s going to be a cat fight over Breakthrough Performance for a Female Artist at the awards ceremony as Miley Cyrus, Ashley Tisdale AND Vanessa Hudgens have all been nominated alongside Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto. Oh yea, and Zac and Vanessa are nominated for best kiss!

Miley Cyrus is also nominated for Best Song From A Movie for her son “The Climb.”

Miley Cyrus’ boyfriend Justin Gaston went to church yesterday with Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus, but Miley Cyrus was nowhere in sight. The two have been spotted out and about together, so it looks like their relationship is still on. Miss Miley has been really stressed out lately, and having a lot of trouble sleeping, so she probably needed a good day of relaxation all to herself. It’s nice to see that Justin has a strong enough relationship with her parents though that he can go out with them without her there.

Early last month Vanessa Hudgens attended a court hearing where she was charged by her former manager, Johnny Vieira, of backing out of a deal she made with him when she was under the age of 18. Vanessa had not planned on shooting to stardom so quickly in High School Musical and had signed a contract with Johnny to give him more of her money than she wanted to after she made the big bucks from Disney.

Last month in court the judge threw out all but one of Johnny’s claims, which made settling the argument in court this month much easier for Vanessa.

The case has been dropped as the two have settled out of court. No one knows how much Vanessa had to pay Johnny, but we’re sure it was quite a bit. As it was, her ex-manager was asking for $5 million!

Vanessa Hudgens was spotted at Blockbuster yesterday afternoon renting the movie “Five Easy Pieces.” The movie stars Jack Nicholson who is a child superstar on the piano before he is estranged from his family and becomes an oil rigger as an adult. His daddy gets sick and it forces him to go home and visit his family who he hasn’t seen in years. Sounds like some serious drama to us!

After renting the movie, Vanessa grabbed some frozen yogurt before getting in her car to spend the night watching movies with boyfriend Zac Efron.

Zac Efron and girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens went out for a ride yesterday in Zac’s convertible. The two always seem to be out and about taking advantage of of the fantastic weather. They cruised around Los Angeles, California for a while before heading back home.

Disney’s High School Musical co-stars Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens mae an appearance the the LG Rumorous phone reveal event earlier this week hosted by Heidi Klum. A.Tis and Baby V are pictured above with Brittany Snow who stars in the Gossip Girl Beginnings series. Both actresses are wearing much shorter dresses than normal, making it clear that they are moving farther and farther away from their Disney roots. We all knew Zac Efron made it onto People Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful People list, but now we know that Nick and Joe Jonas scored spots as well as Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez.

No word yet on whether or not Zac Efron’s GF Vanessa Hudgens or the third JoBro Kevin made the list. This could mean disaster!!! Do you think the two of them should make it? Oh and what about Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift??? We have our fingers crossed!
