According to reports, Disney‘s CEO Robert Iger is looking to offer movies, TV episodes and more on Disney.com, rather than offering the content on other TV and movie sites like Hulu and iTunes. Robert told the Los Angeles Times,
People go to Disney because they know its brand attributes. We believe we have an opportunity to go with our content directly to consumers.
Would you like Disney to offer its own content on its own site rather than selling the rights to other vendors?
Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards told the LA Times at the recent Walt Disney Pictures “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” movie premiere held at Disneyland that he is surprised that he works for the Disney company! Keith revealed:
No one is more surprised by all of it than me. I never expected to work for the Disney organization for a while. I’m still shocked, but, hey, it’s all good fun.
Keith plays the character Captain Teague in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies.
Walt Disney Pictures is working on a new movie due out in 2013 called “Oz, The Great And Powerful.” The actors slated for the film have changed numerous times, but it seems as though James Franco and Mila Kunis are currently set to portray characters in the movie. The film’s director Sam Raimi is trying hard to get Hilary Swank in the role of one of the witches in the movie. However, according to reports the Walt Disney Company is completely against the idea, and instead they want actress Michelle Williams for the role.

As of May 3, 2011 there will be a new Disney Twenty-Three Magazine issue available with tons of new details about Walt Disney Pictures upcoming movie “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.” The issue features an eight-page spread of images from the film and details from the set of the movie.
