Brave – The Highland Games Tournament Coming To Epcot

May 25, 2012 |  by  |  No Comments

There’s a new “Brave” attraction coming to Epcot at the Walt Disney World Resort called Brave – The Highland Games Tournament. Here’s a description of the attraction from the Disney Parks Blog:

From June 1-July 8, Epcot will serve as the setting for Brave – The Highland Games Tournament, a kid-focused offering that will include games like Mini Caber Toss, Cake Toss, Haggis Flip and archery. There will also be a kids’ playground with free enhanced wireless – which is great for us parents who can’t share cute photos of their kids on Twitter and Facebook fast enough! Brave – The Highland Games Tournament will take place on the Rose Walk (right where Future World blends into World Showcase), from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., daily. Park admission is required.

That sounds like fun! Do you plan on being at the park during these dates?

“A chance encounter with a mysterious cat sends Shizuku, a quiet schoolgirl, on a quest for her true talent. Challenged by Seiji, a boy determined to follow his dreams, and enchanted by the Baron, a magical cat figurine who helps her listen to the whispers of her heart, Shizuku embarks on curious adventures beyond the boundaries of her imagination.”

Actors voicing characters in the movie include:

- Brittany Snow as Shizuku Tsukishima
- Courtney Thorne-Smith as Shiho Tsukishima
- Cary Elwes as The Baron
- David Gallagher as Seiji Amasawa

Bonus features on the Blu-ray include:

- 4 Masterpieces of Naohisa Inoue – Watch the evolution of four different scenes by master artist Noahisa Inoue
- Original Japanese Storyboards
- Behind the Microphone – With voice talent from the film
- Original Japanese Trailers and TV Commercials

We love that the Disney/Studio Ghibli movies are always different than the typical Hollywood movie. The characters always have a bit of magic and mystery to them and their emotions always play out so well on the screen that it’s difficult not to feel the same way they do throughout the movie.

This movie is all about following your heart, and making decisions that will make you happy. We definitely recommend watching this movie! Then, come back and let us know what you think!
