Disney/Pixar has released a new Toy Story 3 character from the highly anticipated movie hitting theaters on June 18, 2010. Below is the description for the new character, Sparks.

Sparks will fly – literally – during electrifying playtimes with your new robot friend Sparks! This retro-inspired toy has flashing red LED eyes and a blaster cavity that actually spits out real sparks when he’s rolled along on his sturdy rubber wheels. Sparks also sports telescoping arms with working pincers, and an elevator action that raises his entire body to new heights. Sparking action completely child-safe. Requires two AA batteries (not included).

David Archuleta took to Twitter to let everyone know how he felt about Walt Disney Pictures “Alice In Wonderland” movie directed by Tim Burton.

“Just finished watching Alice in Wonderland. Very interesting haha. But I thought the moral of the story at the end was inspiring.”

Amazon already has the Toy Story 3 Soundtrack CD available for pre-order for $18.98. The soundtrack will be made available from Walt Disney Records on June 15, 2010 – just in time for the June 18th release of Disney/Pixar’s “Toy Story 3″ to theaters.

It is assumed that the album will feature new music written by Randy Newman for the third Toy Story installment.

Disney’s Alice In Wonderland is still number one at the box office for the second week in a row!

Alice earned $116 million over the course of it’s opening weekend, beginning March 5th, and is expected to have earned a total of $200 million by the end of this weekend.

Disney-ABC Domestic Television, a division of the Walt Disney Company, has signed an exclusive, long-term licensing agreement with Starz Entertainment for exclusive rights to any theatrical release from Walt Disney Studios through 2015.

The deal gives Starz Entertainment the rights to play any release from Walt Disney Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Disney-Pixar, Touchstone Pictures, Hollywood Pictures and Marvel Entertainment on its channels, which include:
- Starz
- Encore
- MoviePlex
- On-Demand

Janice Marinelli, the President of Disney-ABC Domestic Television said about the new deal, “Disney and Starz have been partners since the launch of the flagship Starz premium channel back in 1994, and we are pleased to be able to extend our very successful relationship. With this long-term extension, Starz’s subscribers will continue to experience the magic and excitement of our Walt Disney Studios motion pictures.”

While President and Chief Operating Officer of Starz Entertainment, Bill Myers, said, “Commercial-free movies from Disney have always been a cornerstone of our programming and will remain so for years to come even as we add original series to our movie mix. This agreement secures our ability to meet the needs of current and future subscribers in a fast-changing media landscape.”

As early as this month new Tron monorails will make their debut at the Walt Disney World.

Disney’s upcoming movie “Tron Legacy,” set to release on December 17th, is about a high-tech, digital world, and the monorails that run to Disney’s Epcot park are set to mimic that world.
