Larramie Doc Shaw
Larramie “Doc” Shaw was born on April 24, 1992 in Atlanta Georgia. Doc was nicknamed by his grandparents, who saw a special gift in their grandchild. At an early age Doc began modeling, appearing in print campaigns for companies like Robinson May, Service Merchandise, Upton’s, Rich’s, Parisian and Atlanta Magazine.
Sadly, tragedy struck Doc in 1994 when a car accident claimed his fathers life. When Doc was six years old he told his mother, “Mom I was left here for a reason, the words was spoken on my life and I have unfinished work to do. I want to continue my career so please find me an agent.” And so began Doc’s acting career.
At first, Doc was only offered roles in television commercials for companies including McDonald’s Kmart, WGCL, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, SCANA Energy and ABC Education Supplies, but later he began landing film and television roles with ease.
Doc appeared in his first movie “Nobody Loves Me,” and soon after landed the role of Malik Payne on Tyler Perry’s show “House of Payne.”
Just this year Doc was nominated for a 2009 NAACP Image Award. He won the 2009 NAMIC award for Best Performer in a Comedy Series as well as the 2009 Young Artist Award for Best Supporting Young Actor in a Television Series.
Most recently, Doc has joined the cast of the Disney Channel Original Series “The Suite Life On Deck,” and will be appearing in episodes later this season. Doc will play the character Marcus Little, who is a former singer whose career has taken a turn for the worse when his voice changed.
